How to get scholarship from Russia, Everything you should know about.

So many of my colleagues asked me about, how to study in Russia on Scholarship, some of them mailed me few questions regarding that, so I want to share them with you all so that you can get an idea about it.

What should I do?

The first thing is now you need to focus on your studies and,

Start research about

Where you want to go for higher studies?

What subjects Do you want to study in the future?

What you really want to do in life? i.e., Higher studies, Jobs, or something else.

How I start my preparation?

Before you start your preparations, you really need to know that for what you are preparing for.

The first the thing you need to do is where do you want to study because every country has their own way of getting admission and all, and moreover, you also need to think about your financial situation Which is very important.

Why the Financial situation?

Because for sure the university will provide you scholarships but, there are so many things that you will need to take care of.

Sir, I want to know more about it?

Russian Ruble is almost equal to Indian Rupee so that is a point in your favor, and in other countries, if you want to study there with the scholarship, then you need to have a lot of extra money, like one of my friend, will go to Germany this year, so they have to show approximately 7 Lakh rupee in their bank account, it's for your living expenses & University doesn't include this in your scholarship and for living in the US is more expensive.

So, this was also one of the reasons I choose Russia.

If I choose Russia, then how much it takes?

Translation Charges 5000 (One-time Investment)

Counseling Charge 12000 (Approx.) (One-time Investment)

Flight Charge 25000(Approx.)

Insurance Charges 10000(Per Year)

Room Charges (Monthly) 1300

Phone Charges (Monthly) 500

Your living expenses 7000 (Monthly Approx.) Also, depending on you.

Sir, I want to know that if we want to go to the research sector then only, we should opt for MTech or MS. otherwise, we should not?

Yes, I agree, but if you want a job in the technical field where you can get any kind of promotion, then you should've master & Ph.D. Otherwise, you will not get the promotion, I am answering this question based on the conversation I had with my Mentor, in NTPC Limited I was trained under his guidance.

Example: Jobs in PSUs Any job as an Engineer

What criteria I must fulfill?

Again, first decide your goal, then think about it, for different countries, there are different criteria.

What are the best countries for Mechanical Engineering?

The best country for Mechanical is Germany, Japan, Russia, and the US.

Which test you have given for Russia, like ILTES or TOFEL or another Russian embassy test?

For Russia, there are two scholarship forms 1st one is Open Doors Russian Olympiad that comes in November and Lasts till December 2nd Comes is Russia.study that comes in December and Lasts till April May, No need to give ILTES OR TOFEL, but what you really need is to learn the Russian language, because the maximum good programs are offered in Russian.

I Participated in both.

For Russia, you need to fill the form of the Russian Federation online, they have different exams, 1st you need to go through Portfolio Exam, then you need to go through an online exam.

Writing a research paper is Important?

No, it’s not that is important for a bachelor, but if you have a research paper, chances of getting scholarships and admission to any college increases.

Which certificates are important?

  • Certificates that shows your work experience in that field, That shows specialization of that subject you want to study in the future.
  • Example Coursera, Edx, NPTEL, and Many more.
  • Certificates Training is also important.

What to write in the answer, to the question like, How the scholarship will benefit you and your country?

I think the answer should be true, whatever you think that why this scholarship is important to you, it should be from your heart think about it.

What to do extra for getting the scholarship?

You should have a deep knowledge of the subject, try to learn the subject deeply, try to work on some projects, and participate in conferences, and the most important is to sell yourself in the market, so try to build a strong portfolio.

How to write a recommendation letter and what to write?

Usually, the recommendation letter should be written by the Mentor or Prof. but in college, Prof. asks you to write and signs it later.

What the recommendation letter should include is when you worked under Prof., What did you learn, how you performed.

*Sometimes you cannot write a recommendation letter on your own so give this task to your friend who knows you very well.

Recommendations.

*Try to contact the university directly through email and ask them about scholarship forms and procedures.

*Always try to avoid contacting the university through agents.

*Create a strong portfolio.

*Stay Updated.

*Learn new languages like German, Russian, Spanish, etc.
